Viz Media Sets ‘Inu Yasha: Final Act’ For 2012 DVD/BD Release

Viz Media Sets ‘Inu Yasha: Final Act’ For 2012 DVD/BD Release Viz Media has announced at the New York Anime Festival this weekend that they’ve picked up the DVD and Blu-ray rights to the Inu Yasha: Final Act series that they simulcast when it first aired back in 2009 and into 2010. No real details were announced or pricing beyond that they would be releasing on both formats. Viz Media began releasing Blu-ray anime this month after having some of their live action material go that route earlier in the year. Their first release was the Naruto: Shippuden – Bonds movie and the upcoming Bleach movie following after that.

Plot concept: Throughout their quest to restore the shattered Shikon Jewel, the half-demon Inuyasha and modern schoolgirl Kagome have never faced an enemy more deadly or more cunning than the demon mastermind Naraku. With the Shikon Jewel nearly whole, the race to collect the remaining shards intensifies and a battle of epic proportions is brewing on the horizon!
