While the marketing campaign for X-Men: First Class has been pretty shoddy at best all around, the trailers at least are doing their job in getting people interested. The first US trailer definitely swayed some people back to it and then the Russian language one added even more people to the list of the curious. Today saw the release of a new international trailer, an English language one no less, which takes the familiar and adds a bit more to it to try and entice you into the theater when it arrives there on June 3rd with stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Oliver Platt, and Kevin Bacon taking on the roles of your favorite mutants, re-imagined a bit for the cinema.
Plot summary: X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
