‘iZombie’ Gets New Trailer, Motion Poster & Interview Segments

‘iZombie’ Gets New Trailer, Motion Poster & Interview Segments Now that we’re just about two weeks away from the debut of iZombie on March 17th, 2015, The CW is now making a bigger push as one would expect. Having seen the previous trailer cut up and reused for TV spots for a few months now, some new material is definitely welcome, even if it’s just a thirty second spot. We also get a new motion poster for the property, which is cute and disgusting, and there’s also four parts of various interviews with the cast and series lead that has a few bits from the show as well that are now. Most of them clock in around a minute or so, so there’s not a ton of material or depth, but it provides a bit of a look at the show.

The original book ran for twenty-eight issues beginning in 2010 as written by Chris Roberson and initial artist Michael Allred. Four collections were released previously. The live action adaptation isn’t working directly off of the books and stories within but rather taking most of the elements and going forward in its own direction, notably in changing the lead character from a gravedigger to a med student working as a coroner.

The series stars Rose McIver as Olivia “Liv” Moore, Malcolm Goodwin as Clive Babineaux, Rahul Kohli as Dr. Chakrabarti, Robert Buckley as Majoy Lilywhite and David Anders as Blaine DeBeers, with “Veronica Mars” executive producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright

Plot concept: A med student-turned-zombie takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.
