The mind boggles at Ichika giving normal chocolates for Valentine’s Day.
What They Say:
Tomoya’s father remarries to another woman, giving him a stepsister, Ichika. However Ichika is 17-years old and has completely fallen in love with her stepbrother who is only 13!! Families will collide in the most unusual fashion this season, in the new anime short: ONEE-CHAN GA KITA!

With it only having been awhile since they started living together, Ichika has a lot of catching up to do. With the Valentine’s season here and Ichika trying to figure out how to best win over Tomoya through it, she’s got some crazy ideas and a huge amount of intensity. That sets her to working with her friends to make some chocolate. The two have their troubles while doing it as Ruri-Ruri teaches her, but Ichika is strangely restrained overall, though she can’t wait till the actual day to give it to him. It’s comical how it plays out to be sure, but it feels a bit weaker than some of the other recent episodes.
Valentine’s Day is a huge stress piece for both sides here since Tomoya knows that Ichika is going to do something out of control, but instead she really does manage to keep it pretty restrained and mostly normal. In fact, we mostly just get the weird food gag itself and nothing as bad as could be, though I did like her idea of covering herself in chocolate in order to make him happy. Tomoya has only a little time here but he definitely makes the most of it, but the real fun is in the whole cooking segment itself.
